FOUR PLAY

FOUR PLAY

A Play by Jake Brunger

Directed by Alejandro Torres

Rafe and Pete have hit a rut. After seven-and-a-half blissfully happy years, their lack of sexual experience is driving them apart. When they proposition mutual friend Michael to help out with their problems - knowing full well Michael has his own partner Andrew, what seems like a simple solution quickly spirals out of control. Four Play takes a light and humorous look at monogamy versus non-monogamy and the sacrifices we make for our own happiness, as well as for those we love.

THEATRIUS
raves for
FOUR PLAY!

"Don't miss it!"

Barry D. Horwitz of Theatrius.

“[Jake Brunger’s] brilliant play, in the great tradition of British romantic comedy, shows two gay couples—four guys—who are off the charts funny!”

“The scenario is simple—one guy wants to test his seven-year relationship by having sex with someone new. … Surprise—that does not work as planned.”

“Director Alejandro Torres sets a fast pace with crackling wit that expresses four incompatible views of love. Rafe wants to find out what’s beyond sweet Pete. He runs circles around passive Pete until the unthinkable happens. Don’t miss it.”

“The complications are worthy of Liaisons Dangereuses and the whole affair leads to nuclear upheaval in the four guys’ relations. Of course, I’m not going to kiss and tell—I leave that for you to find out onstage at” the JT Presents production at Theatre Rhinoceros.
